User group can be defined as required field
Another important authorization object for background processing is the object S_BTCH_NAM, which allows a user to run the steps of a job under another user (see SM36 -> Edit step). Here, a name other than the user's own can be entered in the user field of a step. The prerequisite is that the job scheduler has an authorization for the object S_BTCH_NAM, which contains the name of the step user, and that the step user exists in the same client as the job scheduler itself. From 4.6C: The step user must be of type Dialog, Service, System or Communication.

Access to personal data in a company is a sensitive issue. It is essential to manage this access securely and to be able to provide information at any time about who has access to the data, when and in what way - and not just for the sake of the auditor. For this reason, the topic of SAP authorizations is a very important one, especially for the HR department.

You want to create a permission concept for applications that use SAP HANA? Find out what you should consider in terms of technical basics and tools. The website www.sap-corner.de offers a lot of useful information about SAP authorizations.

Programme the necessary checks (for example, for specific data constellations or permissions) in this new feature block. If the tests are not successful, do not show the location to the user, just do not return the export structure. The later display of the data is reduced exactly by this record.

With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you can automate the assignment of roles after a go-live.

However, there are also organisational fields that are only relevant for the respective module.

So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? That's what Scribble Papers is great for.

It provides an overview of security aspects of SAP operations and is designed to guide you through the available information and recommendations and to refer you to relevant content.
