Redesign of SAP® Authorizations
Adapting business processes to legal requirements requires control of users and authorizations. Manage your compliance control permanently without risks. Manage users and their authorizations in all SAP systems centrally and efficiently with our solution for your SAP authorization management: Automatically generate authorization roles for users and assign them.
You can create such an organisational matrix as an Excel file or in ABAP; This depends on how you want to read the data. When using a common standard solution (e.g. SAP Access Control), a corresponding maintenance view is usually offered. We first describe how you can provide automated mass care in the form of a custom development.
How to analyze roles and authorizations in the SAP system
The authorisation trace is a client- and user-independent trace. The results of this trace are written in the USOB_AUTHVALTRC table and can also be viewed in the STUSOBTRACE transaction by clicking the Evaluate button. This trace data can be used by developers to maintain the permission proposal values in the transaction SU22 (see also Tip 40, "Using the permission trace to determine suggested values for custom developments").
At www.sap-corner.de you will also find a lot of useful information on the subject of SAP authorizations.
This solution is only available with a support package starting with SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.31 and requires a kernel patch. For details on the relevant support packages, see SAP Note 1750161. In addition, the SAP Cryptographic Library must be installed; but this is ensured by the required kernel patch. Only if you have manually made a different configuration, you must check this requirement.
Authorizations can also be assigned via "Shortcut for SAP systems".
Map all required permissions to all productive roles in your permission concept.
A note box in which data of all kinds can be quickly filed and retrieved. This is what Scribble Papers promises. At first, the program looks very spartan. But once a small structure is in place, you realise the great flexibility of this little helper.
In the process, the so-called user comparison takes place and the role-specific authorizations are stored in the user master record.
