From a purely technical point of view, each generated authorization role contains a profile from which a user receives the actual authorization objects and authorization characteristics. If this profile is outdated or not assigned at all, the user will not have all the authorization objects contained in the authorization role. Incidentally, the problem arises particularly frequently after role transports: If an authorization role is changed in the development system and then transported to the production system, the current profile is not automatically assigned to the users with the respective role. A user comparison must therefore be performed here.
INTRODUCTION A growing number of SAP-based departments are facing major changes and challenges within the SAP product portfolio as well as in their own task environment. By reflecting on the thematic areas, methods and possibilities for implementing the recommendations are presented.

At the same time, this simplifies outsourcing and, if necessary, the use of a cloud solution. CHOOSING AN APPROPRIATE SERVICE FORM Regardless of the chosen service form, as well as outsourcing and outtasking, the overall responsibility for the availability and performance of the IT-supported applications remains with the company. This still means internal coordination of maintenance windows or release booths, which remains in place. Similarly, the services provided by the external partner must be regularly monitored and their quality checked. Therefore, the chosen IT strategy must be chosen from this point of view with the lowest risk. If the technical operation is not sufficiently assessed in the decision, there is a significant business risk.
